Nicole McGhee Hall is the Owner and Principal-in-Charge of Nickel Works Consulting, where she leads the firm’s outreach strategy, business development initiatives, and stakeholder engagement efforts. With deep experience facilitating inclusive, equity-focused public involvement, Nicole is recognized for her ability to build trust among diverse communities and translate complex project priorities into clear, actionable strategies.
As Senior Facilitator for Outreach, Nicole directs all phases of engagement for Nickel Works’ clients, including the development of stakeholder networks, coordination with elected officials and community leaders, and the execution of focus groups, charrettes, walking tours, surveys, marketing materials, and public meetings. Her leadership shapes long-term community and economic outcomes, ensuring that both public and private-sector partners benefit from transparent communication and strategic collaboration.
Nicole’s work spans many high-impact regional projects. She serves as consultant and advisor to the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership on the Special Service District (SSD) initiative, guiding property owner outreach, developing educational materials, and ensuring ongoing communication with municipal leaders. She co-led the 20-county Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Community Engagement Assistance project, where she oversaw the creation of a regional stakeholder database, designed equity-centered focus groups, and contributed to both the MPO Public Participation Plan and a comprehensive Community Engagement Strategy.
Her project history includes leading or supporting engagement for major planning efforts such as the Stone Mountain Downtown Master Plan, Lakewood Trail Conceptual Design, MARTA I-20E Transit-Oriented Development Study, West End CID LCI, Stonecrest Economic Development Plan, and multiple master planning efforts across metro Atlanta. Across every project, Nicole brings a rare combination of technical understanding, community insight, and strategic leadership.
